Winemaker Tasting: Jones of WA w/ Victor Palencia - February 11th 6:00-8:00

Jones of Washington produces award winning, estate grown varietal wines from the Wahluke Slope AVA and the Quincy area. The family owned winery produces 11 different varietal wines, all estate grown, including the new Rose of Syrah made by Victor Palencia.

Washington Women Winemakers Tasting - February 18th 6:00-8:00

Girl Power! Join Stacy Lill of O Wines, Anne-Marie Hedges of Hedges Famiy Estate and Sara Goedhart of Goedhart Family for this fun evening. Hedges, a premier WA State winery, focuses on only a few wines and limited grape varieties. Goedhart focuses on the production of Syrah from the Red Mountain AVA. O Wines is a female owned and operated wine company that contributes a portion of all proceeds to fund scholarships for underprivileged and at risk young girls in Washington State. Join us to support these women and their amazing WA wines.

Rock the Score Wine Tasting - February 24th 6:00-8:00

The Local Vine is partnering with local importers and distributors to host a tasting of top twenty wines that have scored 90 points or above.  This collection represents wines considered to be the best by Wine Spectator, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Bourghound, and others.  Now you can judge for yourself!!!  Complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Cost: $40.  Discounts will be available on wine purchases made during the event.

California Wine Tasting - March 4th 6:00-8:00

California wines have been popularized in movies and are prized by many wine aficionados. Join us to sample several and discover what makes them special.

WA vs. The World - A Wine Tasting Series

This tasting series features some of the most respected winemakers in WA state and around the world. Guided by recognized leaders in the wine industry, participants will sample wines, often extremely rare, that showcase a particular varietal and/ or winemaker. This is a rare opportunity to indulge, learn, and experience the revolutionary impact that WA wine is making on the world.

Cost: $25/class or $80 for four. Classes are limited in size and reservations are required.

     Taste how WA Riesling, including Poet's Leap and Eroica compare with some of Germany's finest,

The Antinori & Folonari Families

     These families have been making wines in Tuscany for over 600 years and now each has a foot in

     WA State. Taste and compare the much revered wines from both locations incuding Tenuta Guado

     Al Tasso, Long Shadow Vintners "Saggi" and Chateau Ste Michelle Col Solare Red Wine.

Wines by John Duval and Phillippe Melka with Erin Dobson, Long Shadows Winery

     Taste and compare four incredible wines including Long Shadows "Pirouette" vs. Quintessa "Red

Bordeaux Varietals wtih Randy Dunn, Dunn Vineyards & Claude Gros, Bookwalter Winery

     Compare what many consider to be the top grapes in WA. Taste Bookwalter Merlot vs. La Fleur

     Morange St-Emilion Grand Cru and Long Shadows "Feather" vs. Dunn Famiy Cabernet Sauvignon.

 

Wine & Food Classes

Note regarding all of our classes: Begin or extend learning about wines by tasting with a sommelier. No experience necessary for these 'no pressure' classes. Taste and evalueate at least 6 different wines during each class. Educational materials (aka 'cheat sheets') provided to take home. Cost: $55/class (unless otherwise noted). Select five classes of your choice for $250.

Wine 101

This ‘no pressure’ class covers the basics about white and red wines, wine evaluations, tastings and selections. Participants will taste, evaluate and discuss at least six different wines during class. Practice tasting techniques, learn about different wine varietals and ask all of the questions you've been too embarrassed to ask before. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about wines – as well as a great gift idea to share with the wine lover (or future wine lover) in your life.

Let's Get Sideways! Pinot from Around the World

Pinot is a wine lovers grape and it is made into extraordinary wines in many places around the world. We will explore the classics including Champagne, Burgundy, and Oregon, as well as some up-and-coming wine regions for Pinot.
